Step 1: Position Your Profile

Before anyone reads your content, they check your profile.

In 5 seconds, they decide:

Is this person credible enough to solve my problem?

Consultants get judged differently than coaches.

Your profile has one job: make a decision-maker feel "this person has done this before, for someone like me."

What to fix:

• Headline — name the specific outcome you deliver and who you deliver it for. Not "Consultant" or "Founder." ("I help B2B SaaS teams cut CAC by 30% in 90 days" beats "Marketing Consultant.")
• Banner — reinforce your positioning visually with a text headline. Don't waste this space on corporate-looking decoration.
• Photo — look like someone a stranger would trust with a $5-15k engagement.
• About section — use the PIPA framework: Pain, Insight, Position, Action.
• Featured section — lead with proof (case study, results, a client win), not a portfolio dump.

When your profile is optimised, LinkedIn's two algorithms (search + content) both start working for you.
